Icebergs and how to avoid them

Avoiding icebergs…. well on my recent journey into the South Atlantic we actually sought them out. Avoiding hitting one though requires some important considerations;

  • travel slowly in waters known to have icebergs
  • avoid fog
  • use navigational aids such as a compass

The first image in this series should show the latter two points, as for the first point …. you’ll have to take my word for it. :-)
