An early morning start gave the opportunity to silhouette a King Penguin against the dawn sky. One of the key points to an effective silhouette is to have a simple and easily recognised subject. Consider how this image would be without the right head angle on this bird. With the bird in profile, the shape is unmistakable, had the bird looked straight towards the camera the photo wouldn’t work. ~KD
