A goshawk, I believe a Dark Chanting Goshawk (Melierax metabates), perches atop a cactus in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. This is a fairly common species and not considered to be endangered. It is widely distributed throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and is found in all but the most densely vegetated jungles/rainforests.
