Boat and flags, Varanasi

Another in the continuing series of photographs from my trip to India earlier this year, “boat and flags, Varanasi” is an attempt to make use of foreground elements as a framing device for the more distant subject matter.  The smaller aperture was used to give sufficient depth of field, whilst the shutter speed was just fast enough to stop the movement of the flags which were flapping gently in the light breeze.
