One of the nice features in Adobe Lightroom is its monochrome processing capability. In this case, I decided to go with a split toned effect, pushing the highlight values towards yellow and the shadow values towards blue. Like anything, it’s possible to go overboard with such effects and the secret to success is subtly. Hopefully, the effect is sufficient to be pleasing without being glaringly obvious. It’s an effect I like and will probably repeat with several of my elephant shots. Being basically grey in colour anyway, I think elephants lend themselves well to this form of presentation.
