A blazing sun sets in a blood-red sky over the Okavango Delta, near Kwetsani Camp, Botswana. Taken with the telephoto lens which, as I’ve pointed out before, does have application as a landscape lens. The scene obviously has massive contrast, no prospect of detail in both the highlights and the deepest shadows, in fact, the image looks most realistic with clipping at both ends of the scale. In Lightroom, I pulled the shadows up a little so there’s just a hint of detail there, but otherwise, little processing involved. If you look closely you can just see an egret in the shadows.
