As mentioned in a previous blog entry, I had the opportunity to see and photograph golden langur monkeys whilst in Assam state in India earlier this year. Golden langur monkeys are now quite rare, but at one location, Umananda Island near Guwahati on the Brahmputra River, there is a colony of about 20.
