Rock Cormorant, Falkland Islands, 2016.
Photographed on Bleaker Island in the Falklands, the rock cormorant is a quite beautiful bird and colonies are found nesting on cliff faces and ledges overlooking the sea.
This image is almost straight out of camera. The totally black background is the cliff face in deep shadow whilst the bird was well lit, hence the massive contrast.
At the time of posting, I am still overseas and dealing with rather flaky internet. There will be more images, primarily birds, to follow. I have a lot of editing to do! ~KD
