Lava Gull, Galapagos Islands.

The Lava Gull, or Larus fuliginosus, is endemic to the Galapagos Islands and regarded as the rarest gull species in the world with only about 400 pairs left in the wild.   The species is highly territorial in behaviour and is considered a "vulnerable" species.

This photo was originally captured on colour negative film using a Pentax 35mm camera.  Obviously being film,  the exposure details are long forgotten but the lens used was a 80-400mm zoom used at the long end.
