No Entry.

Whilst I normally like to keep image processing fairly simple and not stray too far from reality,  every now and then it’s interesting to experiment with processing options and see what comes out.    In this case a detail shot of a door lock in Haridwar, India,  which I’ve entitled “No Entry” (seemed appropriate) owes a great deal to the digital processing.    The original scene appealed to me because of the numerous horizontal and vertical lines,  the colour combinations,  the paint splatters and the graphic shapes of the pad bolt and lock.         In Photoshop,  I did the following;

To see just how far the image has come,  “mouse-over” to view the unprocessed image.

Canon 5D Mark 2 with 24-105mm zoom lens at 65mm F5.6, shutter speed 1/100 second at ISO 400.

No Monday Post?

I failed to post an entry on Monday this week, sorry folks, there are no guarantees on these things, only objectives! Other “non blog related” issues took up too much time this week. ;-) KD.

Updated.

            Blog entry updated on 13/10/2010 to create “mouse-over” effect.    I’m feeling my way with the coding and would appreciate any feedback as to whether it’s displaying properly in other people’s browsers.    Thanks KD.

    Hi Kevin sometimes all the enhancements can really add to a photo. I love this. So funny everything is so old on the door then there is a shiny new lock.. I will be busy for a while trying to get all my stuff reposted from spaces to blogger. Now there is a bit of pressure to get it done. I have to reformat almost every post. Also I am splitting them as I now have 2 blogs at blogger. My other one is more life at the ranch. Link found at my profile at blogger. Anyway will have to catch up latter with you.. Hugs Carrie
